The owners, Rosi and Baldur, were amazing hosts. They treated us like family and went above and beyond to give us anything we needed. They helped us with planning our tours by providing recommendations and even calling the tour companies on our behalf to make the bookings. Rosi also cooked a couple of great home-cooked meals for my friends and I. The guesthouse is located next to a hot spring swimming pool complex that was very nice to relax in after long days of sightseeing. The place was clean and all the guests seemed to be happy with their experience.
It was a little bit outside downtown, but it was not a huge deal since the bus lines run most of the day and all the tour agencies pick you up from the guesthouse. The common areas are small.

I had a great experience at Laugabjarg Guesthouse. The hospitality and treatment were exceptional. It was a family run-business and we were treated as one of their own, there were several rooms based on what you were looking for, couples, friends, solo etc. Was a great place to meet other travellers. Additionally, the owners were very helpful on educating the visitors on where to go and what to see, they even took us on an 8 hour tour for a very decent price, which is also much more flexible than taking a bus tour. Coffee was served every morning and they even served us home-cooked food. We arrived late one night and the wife insisted that she make us food rather than going out to the city. The location was conveniently located to the city center, bus stops and the geothermal outdoor pool and spa (great way to commence your day) The guesthouse itself was quiet and though family-oriented, we were able to go out and party during the nights and come in whenever we pleased. I highly recommend this guesthouse as you will be in good hands and a great way to plan your trip with the help of the owners.

The location is great, nice room, nice spa, super beds, and great staff. I had a wonderful stay and I would recomend this Guesthouse for anyone. Don´t miss the spa pool area - Laugardalslaug. Remember the flybus Reykjaviks excursion stop out side the guesthouse and the bus pick you up for tours that you can order at the guesthouse with short notice.

Very nice staff
It is true, it's not exactly clean, specially the kitchen and there are several minor repairs needed here and there.

The guesthouse is situated close to the city center in a quiet and green district, next to the spa, supermarket and gym. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the guests are calm and there is no noise at night if you want to sleep, the breakfast is served in a perfect way in a cozy kitchen where you share the table with other guests, so you can chat and share your ideas and attitude both with guests and hosts) Many thanks to Wala who explained us a lot about Iceland)

The guesthouse is located about 20mins from city center but its quite a nice walk...the sea side promenade is just behind the guest house and the geo thermal pool in de national stadium is just across the road. So one cud relax der every evening.... i stayed in a dorm and met lot of young guys and made some frens... they do have rooms for families. facilities were good. and its very close to 10-11 supermarket which is opened 24hrs... the people who owns and runs the place are really friendly and are very down to earth and are really helpful.. thanks to vala and her parents... they were really kind and nice people...
De guesthouse was started only few weeks back and they are still preparing a communal room and fixing a lot of other stuffs.... I wud prefer cleaning the room everyday. But given some time they wud make it a better place....

After a long day of travel, we left our video camera and all our gifts on the bus and the lady of the house immediately called for us and all of our things were returned in less than 30 minutes. She also noticed my mother-In-law was in a wheelchair and she offered to change the room to down stairs and she also went out of her way to make reservations for us at a local restaurant and dropped us off too. Overall stay was just fantastic. I would definitely recommend laugabjarg house to anyone visiting Iceland. Cherie Simmons New york

Great place to stay while you're in Reykjavic, the owners are really friendly and helpful. I loved it ! Une auberge de jeunesse à ne pas manquer, bien désservie par les transports, piscine juste à côté, bord de mer et des gérants adorables.

The Guest house was simply great. The owners had been charming with us and always willing to help. The kitchen facilities were fantastic (wich is great in a country like iceland). The room was very good, the house have a nice garden where you can use the tables, bbq, and all the facilities. Absolutely the best relation quality-price we found in iceland. They just oppened a few weeks ago. La propietaria es muy simpatica y habla espanol

“A lovely place to stay.” I arrived in Keflavík at 11:30am and the airp.bus took me direkt Laugabjarg - where we from our first day get great service, comfortable rooms and the wonderful terrace. Wonderful location. I will stay there again next time I am in Reykjavik.
